No Girls Allowed Rule

During the ancient Olympic Games, men were allowed to compete in the events but women were not. In fact, women were often forbidden from even watching the games.

What I think about this rule is that its not Fair. Why couldn't Girls become a part of the Olympic's just because boys want to win Medals and Trophies and be like the Champion girls want to feel the same way and win Medals and be the champion and girls should have been allowed in the Olympics boys shouldn't just be the Winners. I think everybody should be allowed to be in the Olympics because why not there is a lot of sports for just boys and like only a little bit of sports for and like why not just let everybody to be a part of the Olympics. Everybody should be apart of anything so that it can be fair and everyone gets a chance to do anything.
That's all I have to say.

  1. Well done Salote. I really like your reasons why girls should participate in the Olympics. I hope that you will keep on blogging throughout the holidays. Enjoy your holidays.

  2. Hi Salote (and Mr. Nath),

Welcome to the Winter Learning Journey! I am so happy to see that you've joined us this holiday and I'm really looking forward to blogging with you!

I am also really happy to see that you decided to comment on the 'No Girls Allowed' rule. Like you, I feel that it is an unfair rule and that all people deserve the right to compete at the games. I am very pleased to see that both men and women are invited to participate in the modern day Olympics. In fact, I'm really looking forward to watching both the men and women compete next month in the Olympic games in Rio. Will you have the chance to watch any of the events on TV? I hope so!

    Cheers, Rachel
